PLM/500/2466-4944/B/G Single Pillar ATEX Drum Elevator This Single Pillar ATEX Drum Elevator has a Safe Working Load of 500 Kgs and a lift height of 2466mm to a first floor and 4936mm to a second floor. The lifting platform was 960mm wide x 800mm deep and was loaded using a drum trolley. The ATEX Drum Elevator configuration was to load at the front at the Ground Floor and to exit to the left at the upper levels. At the upper levels, there was a landing plate to allow easy unloading. The ATEX Drum Elevator will be manufactured from stainless steel with and is designed to be bolted to the floor. The lifting is accomplished via a chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the column. Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards This Tipper was supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 2.0mm stainless steel sheet. The safety guard reached to a height of 2200mm above the upper floor level, having a single of hinged door at each level through which the ATEX Drum Elevator was loaded. Each door is electrically interlocked to prevent the ATEX Drum Elevator being operated with a door open and in addition, the doors are mechanically locked closed whilst the ATEX Drum Elevator is running. Each door may only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the appropriate level. ATEX Drum Elevator Electrical Control This ATEX Drum Elevator is fitted with an IP65 Control Panel which is mounted on the in a safe area away from the ATEX zone. Certain Functions (Cleaning Key Switch, Reset Facility etc. could only be operated from the main panel) The following indicator lights and controls were fitted to the main panel: - - Door Isolator

ATEX Drum Elevator Safe Access Cleaning SystemThis Safe Access Cleaning System will be fitted to your Platform Lift during manufacture to allow access to the inside of the safety guard at the lower level for maintenance and housekeeping. The Access System will operate as follows:- - The lift frame must be empty, at the full up position and the safety guard gates must be closed
- At the full up position, the lift carriage is prevented from moving by a 50mm support bar driven out beneath the lift carriage using an pneumatic cylinder.
- As the bar is engaged, it will alter the state of 2 off separate safety limit switches
- The one switch will disable the ATEX Drum Elevators safety circuit and relay
- The second limit switch will allow the lower safety guard door to be opened providing that the Cleaning System Safe Access Key Switch has been operated
- It is now safe to enter the lift enclosure with the ATEX Drum Elevator disabled and the lift carriage supported
- To re-instate the ATEX Drum Elevator operation, the above sequence is reversed
