PLM/2P/1000/640/B/G Rack Platform LiftThis Rack Platform Lift had a Safe Working Load of 1000 Kgs to raise a Rack (1200 Wide x 1000 Deep x 1940mm High) between floor levels with a height difference of 640mm. The lifting platform was 1400 x 1300mm to allow a standard pump truck to load a Rack onto the lift carriage. At the upper level, there was a landing plate to allow easy unloading. The machine was manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel and is a welded construction throughout. The Rack Platform Lift was designed to be bolted to the floor without the need for a pit. The lifting is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. The Rack Platform Lift was supplied with fixed low level guards on each side to a height of 1100mm and hinged gates at the loading and unloading positions. The safety guards were constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 2.0mm stainless steel sheet. At each level, there was a hinged door through which the machine can be loaded and unloaded. The doors are electrically interlocked to prevent the machine being operated with a door open and in addition, the doors are mechanically locked closed whilst the machine is running. Each door may only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the appropriate level. Rack Platform Lift Electrical ControlThe Rack Platform Lift was fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel mounted on the machine at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The control panel incorporated the following controls; Up, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. There was a remote Stainless Steel push button station at the upper level incorporating the following controls; Up, Guard Release and Emergency Stop. Dual Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The doors at the upper and lower levels are locked closed to allow the Rack Platform Lift to be operated and are released by a guard release push button at each level.
