BTP/200/300/B Pneumatic Bin Tipper This Pneumatic Bin Tipper is designed to lift and tip a Bean Sprout Bin so that the edge of the bin in the tipped position is 300mm off the floor and the bin is tipped 10 degrees past the horizontal. At the full tip position, the lift carriage engaged with a support frame so that the bin is completely supported when a cleaner enters the bin to clean. The Pneumatic Bin Tipper is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel, is a fully TIG welded construction throughout and was bolted to the floor. This Pneumatic Bin Tipper was powered pneumatically and the bin was tipped over by a pair of pneumatic cylinders to an angle of 10 degrees past the horizontal. Pneumatic Bin Tipper Safety Guard The Pneumatic Bin Tipper was supplied with fixed safety guarding at the back of the machine and both sides manufactured from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 40mm aperture, 3mm stainless steel weld mesh. The guarding extended at the front such that when the bin was tipped over, it was still within the confines of the guard. The lift carriage was designed so that the bin was loaded from the front and retained with a latch. The operator stood outside of the safety guard at the front and operated the Pneumatic Bin Tipper on a ‘hold to run’ principle. Pneumatic Bin Tipper Control This Pneumatic Bin Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The Pneumatic Bin Tipper has ‘dead man’s handle’ control such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the machine to operate. As soon as the button is released, the machine will stop.
