BTM/2P/1500/1000/B/G Double Pillar Heavy Duty Dumper
This Double Pillar Heavy Duty Dumper is designed to lift and tip a 1500 Kgs Pallet or Skip at a discharge height of 1000mm into a recycling pit. The Heavy Duty Dumper is manufactured from stainless steel Grade 304, is a welded construction throughout and is designed to be bolted to the floor. The lifting is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column.
The lift carriage footprint was 1200 x 1200mm with a height of 1000mm and it was plated at the bottom, both sides and the front. The metal pallet was driven onto a robust retaining bracket protruding from the front of the lift carriage and this bracket retained the pallet in the tipped position.
Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards
The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm box section and 3mm wire, 40mm aperture weld mesh to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. It encloses the Heavy Duty Dumper to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 800mm at the tipping side with a hinged guard door on the fourth side. The guard door is electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Heavy Duty Dumper from operating when the door is open. Additionally, the guard door can only be opened when the lift carriage is at the full down position to prevent access whilst a load is raised.
Heavy Duty Dumper Electrical Control
This Heavy Duty Dumper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the safety guard at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Heavy Duty Dumper operation is latched so that pressing the ‘Up’ push button once will raise the lift to the full tip position. Once the product has been discharged, pressing the ‘Down’ push button once will return the Heavy Duty Dumper to the full down position. The control panel has the facility for a ‘call to run’ signal to be connected if required.
