BTH/200/500/B/G Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper
This Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper was designed to lift and tip a 240 Litre Wheelie Bin at a discharge height of 500mm and had a Safe Working Load of 200 Kgs. The machine is a TIG welded construction throughout and was bolted to the floor. The Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper was powered via a hydraulic powerpack and tipped the 240 Litre Wheelie Bin by the extension of a hydraulic cylinders to an angle of 30 degrees past the horizontal. The hydraulic cylinder was fitted with a safety check valve such that even in the unlikely event of a hydraulic hose failure, the raised bin would be safely arrested.
Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards
The Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper is supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 40 x 40mm aperture, 3mm wire stainless steel weld mesh that encloses the machine to a height of 2200mm on two sides. The loading and unloading position was guarded using a Safety Light Barrier.

The Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper was fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main frame at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site.
The control panel incorporates the following controls; Control On, Auto Tip Cycle Start, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Hydraulic 240 Litre Wheelie Bin Tipper operation is based on an automated tip cycle such that once a bin is loaded and the tip cycle is initiated, the machine will travel to the full up position, pause while the bin discharges and then return to the full down position. If the Light Barrier is broken at any time, the machine will stop.
